We made sacrifices, we put in the time, we put in the hard work, energy and passion to get where we are today. We helped create the movement in North America. Back then it was Rishi, Jay Sean & Juggy D, Raghav, Sona Family etc. Our challenge was to help to create and build the industry, and make our mark and take our place in the urban desi scene as a legendary group. We were all on our individual grind for years until we decided to grind together as a unit. That would make us laugh so much because that wasn't our reality and besides even overnight successes aren't overnight.

I remember when The Bilz & Kashif first came on to the scene people would think we were overnight successes. Today's generation sometimes forgets that success comes from years of hard work. What were the challenges and struggles that you had to overcome to reach the point you��re at now? We're very proud of our story because we really 'started from the bottom'. But one of the subjects you touch on in your music is that of struggling and paying dues. The international success you��re enjoying now must be so overwhelming. Now the group is back with the new album 'The Trinity' and we caught up with the group to get some inside scoop on the release! The then released their album follow-up album Breaking Barriers providing us with hits like 'On The Dancefloor' and 'Single'. 'One Voice' was also screened at Deejay Ra's music video night in Toronto at the FILMI festival, North America's longest running South Asian film festival.The Bilz and Kashif first won over the masses with their collaboration '2 Step Bhangra', which led to the solidification of the Canadian group. Their single and music video 'One Voice' was released in support of War Child Canada, an award-winning Canadian charity that provides opportunities and long term solutions for war-affected children, focusing on education, strengthening children's rights, reducing poverty and fostering self reliance. They have recently done a rendition of Sean Kingston's 'Bollywood Girls' which got second place in a competition on.

Their latest album is titled 'Breaking Barriers' which include songs such as 'One Voice', 'Fire', and 'Heer Ranja'. Their recent single 'Turn the Music Up' broke records in Canada. Their first album was title 'The Bilz' which included '2-Step Bhangra' and 'O Meri Rani (Spanish Fly)'.

They work with Kashif, a Pakistani musician who has previously worked with InMotion, a popular French-Canadian band that had hits such as 'Suave-Moi'.

Their biggest hit is '2-Step Bhangra' which was very popular in Canada. They create mostly Hip-Hop/R&B/Desi Music. The Bilz (Brothers-in-Lawz) is a Montreal-based Canadian South Asian musical group of two musicians, DJ Vicious and Master-D, whose primary audience is Canadians of South Asian descent.
